I find myself going out to the forest much more than usual. Crawling into the earth. Hiding in the leaves. Here, I am a wild thing. And my cell phone gets no reception.
Sometimes I hide instead of saying “hello”. Other times I try to say “hello” and people look like they wish they could hide. I wish I was the kind of person who could say, “I killed a man once just to watch him die.”
